WALK-IN-INTERVIEW

It is proposed to fill up the temporary and time bound positions of Research Associate, Senior Research Fellow and Junior Research Fellow on contractual basis under the following projects on the basis of walk-in-interview. The eligible and desirous candidates fulfilling all the requirements are invited to appear before the Selection Committee for interview at V.P.K.A.S. (ICAR), Almora on  10.05.2010 at 10.00 A.M.

Project:-DBT funded project “Rapid conversion of normal maize inbreds to quality protein maize and further enhancement of limiting amino acids in elite inbreds through marker assisted selection

Post:-Research Associate (Two posts)

Essential Qualifications:-M.Sc./M.Sc. (Ag.) in Biotechnology/Plant Breeding with experience in plant molecular biology
Age:- Below  40 years as on the date of interview.

Project:-NAIP on “Enhancement of Livelihood Security through sustainable Farming Systems and  Related  Farm Enterprises in  North-West Himalaya”.

Post:-Research Associate (Two post)

Essential Qualifications:-M.Sc.Ag. in Agronomy/Horticulture/Vegetable Science/Soil Science/ Plant Pathology/Farm Machinery/Soil Conservation or Related Disciplines
Age:-Below  40 years as on the date of interview

Projects:-ICAR funded project “Institute Technology Management Unit”
Post:-Research Associate (One post)
Essential Qualifications:-Masters degree in Agriculture/Botany or allied subjects/MBA with two years of research experience in the relevant areas or work
Age:-Below  40 years as on the date of interview

Projects:-NAIP funded project “Bioprospecting of genes and allele mining for abiotic stress  tolerance (Rice & Maize)”
Post:-Senior Research Fellow (One post
Essential Qualifications:-M.Sc./M.Sc. (Ag.) in Biotechnology/Plant Breeding with experience in plant molecular biology
Age:-Below 35 years as on the date of interview

Projects:-DBT funded project “Pyramiding multiple resistance genes using MAS for durable resistance against blast in the North West Himalayas”

Post:-Junior Research Fellow (two posts)
