QUALIFICATIONS
DIRECTOR OF EXTENSION:-Essential: Bachelor’s degree in Horticulture/Agriculture, Ph.D. degree in Horticulture/Agriculture Minimum twenty years of experience in teaching/research/extension in Horticulture/Agriculture with 5 years experience in Horticultural crops. Atleast five years of experience should be as Professor/Principal Scientist/Associate Director or equivalent rank. Desirable: Knowledge and experience of planning, organizing and administering various extension programmes. Unblemished record throughout the career in the past.
PROFESSOR:A Bachelor’s degree in Horticulture/Agriculture., Ph.D. degree or any other equivalent Doctorate degree in the concerned subject. Experience of not less than 10 years in Teaching/Research/Extension in the subject (discipline) concerned in recognized Teaching/Research/Extension institutions, out of which 3 years should be as Associate Professor. Should have Good Published Research Papers in Scientific Journals. Desirable: Experience as part of duties in conducting basic/applied research of high quality as evidenced by published work/technologies developed, Knowledge and experience of Planning, Organizing and administering research/teaching programme.
ASSOCIATE PROFESSOR:- EXCEPT BIO-CHEMISTRY AND STATISTICS AND MATHEMATICS: A Bachelor’s degree in Agriculture/Horticulture. Ph.D. degree or any other equivalent Doctorate degree in the subject (discipline) concerned. Experience of not less than five years in Teaching/Research/Extension in the subject (discipline) concerned in recognized Teaching/Research/Extension institutions. Experience both as Instructor and Assistant Professor count equally for the purpose. Should have Good Published Research Papers in Scientific Journals. BIO-CHEMISTRY:-A Bachelor’s Degree in Science with Bi.P.C./M.P.C. stream from any recognized University, A First Class Master’s Degree in Bio-Chemistry/Plant Bio-Chemistry from any recognized University.Ph.D. Degree or any other equivalent Doctorate degree in the subject (discipline) concerned. Experience not less than 5 years in Teaching in the subject (discipline) concerned in recognized Teaching Institutions. Experience both as Instructor and Assistant Professor count equally for the purpose. Should have good Published Research Papers in Scientific Journals.
STATISTICS AND MATHEMATICS:-M.Sc. Degree in Ag. Statistics or M.Sc.(Ag.) in Statistics, Experience of not less than 5 years in Teaching/Research/Extension in the subject (discipline) concerned in recognized Teaching/Research/Extension Institutions. Experience both as Instructor and Assistant Professor count equally for the purpose.Should have good published research papers in Scientific Journals.
ASSISTANT PROFESSOR AND TECHNICAL OFFICER:-A Bachelor’s degree in Agriculture/Horticulture. A Master’s degree in the subject (discipline) concerned with at least 55% marks or its equivalent grade. Should have passed SSC examination or any other equivalent examination with Telugu as one of the subjects or should have studied SSC through the medium of Telugu or should have working knowledge of Telugu. NET qualification in the concerned discipline is essential.
Prescribed application forms together with full details of qualifications for the posts can be obtained from 19th April 2010 from the University on payment of Rs.250/- (Rs.125/- for SC & ST) in person or through a crossed demand draft in favour of COMPTROLLER, A.P.HORTICULTURAL UNIVERSITY, VENKATRAMANNAGUDEM payable at TADEPALLIGUDEM, West Godavari district, Andhra Pradesh on any Nationalized Bank. NO MONEY ORDER/POSTAL ORDER SHALL BE ENTERTAINED. For obtaining it by post a self addressed and stamped envelope of Rs.40/- of the size 35 X 15 cm should be enclosed to the requisition letter.
