INSTITUTE FOR PLASMA RESEARCH Technical Training programme. Applications  are invited for the Technical Trainee Programme-2010 for entry-level career opportunities. On successful completion of the training, the trainees will be appointed as Scientist/Engineer–SC at IPR or ITER–India.

Training and Stipend: The course is compulsorily residential and the selected candidates shall stay at the accommodation provided by IPR. The training comprises of lectures, laboratory and project work. During training period the trainee will be paid a monthly stipend of Rs. 12000 (likely to be revised) and a one-time book allowance of Rs. 5000.
Appointment and Placement: On successful completion of the training, the trainees will be appointed as Scientist / Engineer–SC at IPR or ITER–India with a Basic Pay of Rs. 21000 in the Pay Band – 3 (i.e.Rs.15600-39100) and Grade Pay of Rs. 5400/-. All other allowances such as DA, HRA, Conveyance, Professional Update, LTC etc. will be paid as per Government of India rules. A comprehensive Contributory Health Service Scheme (CHSS) for employees and their dependent family members is also available. After successful training, appointed candidates are required to execute a bond for Rs. 2.0 Lakh and will be under contractual obligation to serve the Institute for Plasma Research or ITER-India for a minimum period of 2 years from the date of appointment.

Qualifying Degree required For Code 10, 20:-
  • M.Sc. in Physics/Applied Physics after a B.Sc. degree OR an Integrated M.Sc., B.E./B.Tech. in Engg. Physics is also eligible, provided it is a minimum of 4 years curriculum after Class XII.
Qualifying Degree required For Code 30, 40, 50, 60:-
  • B.E. / B.Tech. / B.Sc. (Engg.), provided it is a minimum 4 years  curriculum after Class XII in the appropriate discipline.

Only those candidates who have received their qualifying degree in the year 2009 or are going to receive by 1st September 2010 need apply. Only those candidates who are born on or after 1st September 1984 need apply. Only those candidates who have secured a minimum of 60% and first class in the qualifying degree need apply.
