The Centre invites applications from Indian Nationals on direct recruitment basis as well as on deputation basis for the under-mentioned posts in Library and Information Science as well as in Computer Science:

SCIENTIST-D (LIBRARY SCIENCE): 1 Post (1-OBC-non-creamy layer) ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATION & EXPERIENCE: Ph.D. in Library & Information Science with 4 (four) years relevant experience in a supervisory position or M.Lib./M.L.I.Sc. with 10 years relevant experience in a supervisory position. Evidence of innovative library services, published work and professional commitments. Experience in computerized library operations and networking or IT environment. PAY BAND : Rs.15,600-39,100 (PB-3) plus Grade Pay – Rs.7,600/- (Gross emoluments at minimum of the scale is Rs.50,045.00 per month) AGE LIMIT: 45 years

SCIENTIST-D (COMPUTER SCIENCE): 1 Post (1-UR-on leave vacancy, likely to be continue further). ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATION & EXPERIENCE: Ph.D. in Computer Science with 4 (four) years relevant experience OR ME/ MTech (CE) with 6 (six) years experience OR BE/MCA with 9 (nine) years experience. Evidence of published work and professional commitments. Experience in computerized library operations and networking or IT environment. PAY BAND : Rs.15,600-39,100 (PB-3) plus Grade Pay – Rs.7,600/- (Gross emoluments at minimum of the scale is Rs.50,045.00 per month) AGE LIMIT: 45 years

SCIENTIST-C (LIBRARY SCIENCE): 2 Posts (1-UR; 1-OBC (non-creamy layer) PAY BAND : Rs.15,600-39,100 (PB-3) plus Grade Pay – Rs.6,600/- (Gross emoluments at minimum of the scale is Rs.43,613.00 per month) ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATION & EXPERIENCE: Ph.D. in Library and Information Science or M.Lib./M.L.I.Sc. with 6 years relevant experience in a supervisory position. AGE LIMIT: 40 years

SCIENTIST-B (LIBRARY SCIENCE) : 4 Posts (4-UR) ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATION & EXPERIENCE: M.Lib. / M.L.I.Sc. with 1 year relevant experience.

SCIENTIST-B (COMPUTER SCIENCE) : 4 Posts (1- SC; 1-OBC (non-creamy layer); 2-UR) ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATION & EXPERIENCE: BE/BTech (Computer Science/Engineering) / MCA. PAY BAND : Rs.15,600-39,100 (PB-3) plus Grade Pay – Rs.5,400/- (Gross emoluments at minimum of the scale is Rs.36,870.00 per month) AGE LIMIT : 35 years.

SCIENTIFIC/TECHNICAL ASSISTANT (LIBRARY SCIENCE) : 1 Post (1-UR). ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATION & EXPERIENCE: B.Lib./B.L.I.Sc.

SCIENTIFIC/TECHNICAL ASSISTANT (COMPUTER SCIENCE) : 1 Post (1-UR). ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATION & EXPERIENCE: DCA. PAY BAND : Rs.9,300-34,800 (PB-2) plus Grade Pay – Rs.4,200/- (Gross emoluments at minimum of the scale is Rs.23,085.00 per month) AGE LIMIT : 30 Years.
