Training and Stipend: The course is compulsorily residential and the selected candidates shall stay at the accommodation provided by IPR. The training comprises of lectures, laboratory and project work. During training period the trainee will be paid a monthly stipend of Rs. 12000 (likely to be revised) and a one-time book allowance of Rs. 5000. Appointment and Placement: On successful completion of the training, the trainees will be appointed as Scientist / Engineer–SC at IPR or ITER–India with a Basic Pay of Rs. 21000 in the Pay Band – 3 (i.e.Rs.15600-39100) and Grade Pay of Rs. 5400/-. All other allowances such as DA, HRA, Conveyance, Professional Update, LTC etc. will be paid as per Government of India rules. A comprehensive Contributory Health Service Scheme (CHSS) for employees and their dependent family members is also available. After successful training, appointed candidates are required to execute a bond for Rs. 2.0 Lakh and will be under contractual obligation to serve the Institute for Plasma Research or ITER-India for a minimum period of 2 years from the date of appointment. B.E. / B.Tech. / B.Sc. (Engg.), provided it is a minimum 4 years curriculum after Class XII in the appropriate discipline.
